• Total darkness, woven in - not glued on: Three layers, and two of them are black. The face carries your shade; the middle and the reverse are woven in black yarn. That is what stops the light - a dense 300 GSM cloth, not a coating.
• No stitched liner, so nothing peels: Cheap blackout curtains staple a plastic sheet to the back - it cracks, peels and goes patchy after a few washes. Ours has no liner to fail - the darkness lives inside the weave. Wash it and it comes back the same.
• The reverse side is dark - know this before you order: From the street the back looks dark, not your shade. That is the price of true darkness, and we would rather you heard it from us. If you want the same colour on both faces, this is not your curtain.
• Rust-proof steel grommets, four-inch weighted hem: Eight stainless-steel eyelets per panel, 1.6 inch inner ring - silent on the rod, no plastic-ring cracking. The weighted hem keeps it hanging straight, stops fraying and stays down under a ceiling fan.
• What is in the box, and the care: Includes 2 ready-to-hang curtain panels, each 114.3 cm (45 in) wide with the weighted hem. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, do not bleach, dry in shade and iron on low - the shade comes back the same.
